Yes,the procedure is quite simple, pop into a Nationwide Branch , open a Nationwide Flexaccount, and in our case just use this account as a "top up account". The card issued is a VISA debit card which we have found to accepted by all the cash machines around SB we have visited, then just follow the on screen instructions. There are no interest charges yet for using this service. Hope this helps.
Paul.

Sorry Charlie and Pat, don't know what the daily limit is , usually only draw 400 levs in any day, things can get a little embarrasing with Irene walking along side ,and me with a trouser pocket full of cash.

I think that you will find that the daily withdrawal limit is 400 Lev's per day
We just take enough cash for a taxi, & both have a Nationwide Flex Account card, on a joint account

It looks like its all over regarding free cash withdrawals from the NationWide's Flexaccount. From November they intend to charge £1 flat fee plus 2% on their cashcard withdrawals. We intend to cancel the account, so it looks like shop arround time again.I believe the Post Office has a similar account, so does the Nottingham Building Soceity who have a top up account called the" Travelex Cash Passport", it works just like a credit or debt card and is accepted world wide at shops, restaurants, hotels, and over one million VISA atm's and no charges when you use it, you can load your card up anytime. Details for this one can be found at
www.thenottingham.com. Happy hunting!
Paul.

Thomas Cook do the pre-paid travel money mastercard issued by travelex (the cash passport) in 7 different currencies but the lev isnt one of them. they do a sterling one but has a 2% commision charge every time you pre-load it and a £1.50 flat fee atm charge on any withdrawal amount and its insured so if lost or stolen you get replaced with-in 24hrs
and the card lasts 5years.
