As a UK Will does not cover foreign property, has anyone written a Bugarian Will to deal with their apartmant. If so can you recommend a solicitor (notary)

Hi Guys,

Took our English wills to our lawyer yesterday to have Bulgarian ones done.
Our Lawyer told us that under international law our English wills have to be honoured, just the same as if they were Bulgarian.

Also told us better to have English will as in Bulgaria any property you have is shared equally between relatives by Bulgarian law. Keep to the English will and it goes to who you have named.
Hope that makes sense.
We have no reason to doubt him.

Met with our solicitors last week to make some minor changes to our existing will and tried to include the property in Bulgaria within it but was told this isn't possible due to diferences in English/Bulgarian law etc. we were told we had to make the will regarding the property with a Bulgarian solicitor giving the company name of the English soliciters for referal etc. Was also instructed to include a clause in the statement that the Bugarian will does not revoke the English one. So when we are over there Kath/ Keith you'll have to give us your Bulgarian solicitors name so we can get something sorted.
