Internet access

Hi all

I paid for Fast internet access in my NFC apartment in July 2009 (speed 1 MB/sec advertised, rarely achieved!!!)

I was far from pleased with the price I had to pay and also not pleased with the speed or reliability of connection.

Did anyone sign up for internet access in their apartments and if so do you intend to do this again next year?

Please send me a PM or reply to this thread if you have any strong views on this or would like to see FN reduce their ridiculous prices for this service and also improve speed and reliability.

I'm not interested in discussing the"free" wifi being stopped from the bar (this was discussed in a previous thread), rather interested in those folks who are prepared to pay for this service in their apartments.

Hi Paddy,
We had the tinternet installed in our apartment. Just the basic package.

Your right - not going to win any prizes for speed

But installation (one off) fee and 1 months subscription was paid at 9am - when we got back at 6pm, all installed.

Had some problems getting the laptop configured - one call to the office and a fella was there in 20min to sort it.

Considering you can pay per month for the access- I dont feel its a bad deal.

Not a huge "noks" fan - but in this instance, I felt service was ok.
