I have just booked with wizz form Luton. Just under £400 for 2 all in. Not that exciting I know. I only posted to make you all jealous. 9th May-1st July. We actually think it gets to hot(for us) and busy July and Aug so we may go back Sept-Oct First wave of gov cutbacks are leaving us with plenty of time on our hands.
Ryanair(www.ryanair.com) are flying Tuesdays and Saturdays from Stansted to Plovdiv (about a third of the way between Sofia and Sunny Beach)- if you've time on your hands you could get a train from there to Bourgas or if you were hiring a car anyway you could drive from there!- could save money but not time and energy, depends what your priorities are and if you'd like to see more of Bulgaria other than the Black Sea coast.
I've booked a flight out of Manchester on the 11th June, for a week with Balkan Holidays (flight only ) for £199 including 20kgs of luggage per person and the flight times are not too bad, maybe worth a look :
