Why can't I set my Air Con?

Unless I'm being really stupid here. I'm trying to set the Air Con to a lower level, but keeps resetting itself to 35! I've never had this trouble in the past. Any ideas, maybe a dummies guide to setting the Air Com....

We just use the up and down arrows for temperature on ours. This just makes it cooler but doesn't say what temperature its set at. We have an instruction booklet but we came home last night so can't look at it. Have you Googled to see if you can get an on line instruction booklet? One of our remotes doesn't work well but we have three so can manage with the two.
