i have read all the post about the lack of entertainment, and it is a problem. but it is no good doing nothing but moaning about it. we should elect someone who is a regular forum poster to email and have regular contact with someone fron FN who will answer all our queries, hopefuly being quite civilised way of addressing this they might reply with someone to help us. anyone wants to apply for the position of mediator

I think it would be a good idea to have a spokesperson but I find the issue is, who do you speak to an FN in authority. I have had regular contact with FN concerning issues with my app't and only get very guarded answers. Issues have to be addressed about the complex or it will die on it's feet. I also have big issues about security on site (Marina) as there does not seem to be any and have mentioned this to FN but they seemed to ignore the concern

i was under the impression that we were buying apartments, not entertainment.

more entertainment = more charges (unless you expect them to do it for free!!)

remember.... you are buying an apartment, thats all.
This is not a hotel, nor is it Butlins.

sunny beach has plenty of entertainment. try leaving the complex, you might find some.

Spudhead,
Do you ever socialise with your friends or neighbours in the evening or are you always on the other side of town doing 1001 things? We go out most days and have fun and when we return of an evening we would like to meet up with like minded friends that like to share experiences and info etc and generally have a good time in a relatively lively bar. Unfortunately we don't have one.
You certainly seem to be cutting the mustard with your heavy list of things to do and I am just curious what you do for enjoyment of an evening? Don't tell me you leave the complex again. Maybe you should have bought a caravan, cos you are not getting much time on the complex.
Cheers.

theres nothing stopping people socialising in the evening in the complex, but why do you expect fortnoks to provide your entertainment?

entertainment was never part of the deal.

who's going to pay for the entertainment?

Entertainment

Entertainment was never part of the deal Spud Head, you're right.

BUT - when we bought our apartments they were sold to us on the basis of there being 4 restaurants on site (1 Fish restaurant, 1 Italian Restaurant, 1 Mexican Restaurant and 1 x other Restaurant) PLUS an Irish Bar. In my mind any bar would suffice whether it be an Irish Bar or another type of bar serving drinks with appropriate music for the time of day/night (matching furniture would add to the atmosphere too!).

We know we can travel into Sunny Beach/Vlas/The new Marina for this type of food and entertainment and most of us do and will continue to do so until things improve at "The Grand Resort"

All we are asking is for Fort Noks to provide the facilities (not entertainment) that came with the original sales information.

Have to agree with Spudhead. I know some facilities are not there yet, but like I said in an earlier post, they will come. You guys at Grand resort have only really had part of the first season, give things a year or two to settle down, it will get better.

There are facilities, its up to the owners and guests to use them, to help create the atmosphere and entertainment.

As the bars and cafes etc. are owned or leased by private business, it's not really Fort Noks that are to blame for the way they are run. Like ourselves as owners of apartments, how we use them and what we do with them is our business. It is the owners of these businesses, owners need to speak to regarding evening entertainment.

I think that Fort Noks must take some responsibility for the resaturants on Marina/Panorama. Although they are leased, Fort Noks has control over who leases them.

Why open restaurants all with the same owner, all selling more or less the same food (it looks like the one on Crown/Imperial is going to be a carbon copy of those on Marina/Panorama) when several different restaurants and bars were offered when the complex first went on sale.

If there was a lack of interest from other businesses in taking up the leases then the list of facilities should have been amended accordingly.

I agree with Newbie8 with regards to Fort Noks being partly responsible for the lack of atmosphere in the bars. We have been to our apartments 6 times in the last 2 years and it's as though time has stood still. Fort Noks should inform the leasee about all the complaints that have been registered and if the leasee cannot be bothered to make any improvements then she is the wrong person to run a bar/restaurant on our potentially fantastic complex. The complex is so pleasing to the eye for us (the location and gardens look superb). During the day the beach is great, hiring a sun lounger near the pool is great, but once the sun starts to disappear the whole atmosphere on the complex changes. A good bar/restaurant is an essential place for people to meet up and stay for the whole night. At the moment if people do decide to eat in the bar they do not seem to hang around for too long (ourselves included). After all, the reason why we are complaining is because we want to make all Fort Noks complexes a place to have great holidays that we all remember and also a place that we want to revisit.
Cheers.
