Breaking news from Wizzair, the service to Bourgas as been withdrawn saying it was not profitable enough this year.

XL.com are no longer providing a service from Manchester, another big blow for northerners as last season that was one of the busiest flights.

Mondays is still going to be the biggest changeover day/night with Fridays a close second.

As anyone (Di & Sean maybe ) know anything about a new complex on the Royal Park side of Privilege, have a look at this website www.seadreams-bg.net looks a bit like its on the land between.

Just read on another forum that Wizz air have confirmed that they will be flying into Burgas next summer. Flights will be available to book from January.

Sounds a bit more promising, lets hope XL re-think their Manchester - Bourgas route.

Cheers

Hi Tom/Hez, wonder if wizzair have got slot times within another airport, Sheffield/ Doncaster would be handy. Any chance of getting a few rounds of beer back from you both next year?.

Hi Paul, Irene and Jason.

Hope your all well and ready for Christmas and no doubt by now you will have purchased my present. Really looking forward to seeing you all again next year. Paul I've already organise your beer intake for your next visit, I'm guessing it will be the same as always two pints per night. Let me know if you feel next time you can manage three pints and I'll give Paco the extra money up front.

Tom

I was waiting for the budget airlines to ' take off ' before I booked next years flights. But reading the news that XL & Wizzair have pulled the plug, and no sign of Easyjet or Ryanair announcing flights, I've decided to book early in case prices go up instead of down as we'd hoped.
With www.flythomascook.com we have booked flights for
£119 (all in) :) Departing from Manchester - Bourgas on the 2nd June 08, which I think is an acceptable price.

Todays price with Thomas Cook is £129. When we booked 3 days ago we got a £10 web reduction. These offers only last a few days, but keep checking as they might offer the discount again.

Having recently checked flights from any London Airport into Bourgas the prices were not to attractive, howver if we fly into Varna with BA the prices are about ?150.00 per head inc taxes. Ok you,ve got a two hour drive from Varna as opposed to 30 minutes from Bourgas, but if your hiring a car at Airport anyway, the cost savings flying into Varna far outweigh the additional drive. Would appreciate any other cpmments ref cheap flights.

Thanks for link to First Choice. Checked it out and they are pretty competetive. Not sure how far ahead of your travel date you have to book in order to get good prices. Any idea?.

PS Have you had your notification from Fort Noks reagarding completion and request for next stage payment as I haven't ??

Wonder if this could be good news regarding flights for us Northeners. Article from Daily Mail, 16/1/08.

Manchester Airport is to be allowed to set its own charges by the department for transport. The airport, which is maJority owned by Manchester City Council will be able to develop without the costs of government regulation falling on passengers.

Wizz are still flying in 2008 but them along with all the other airlines are taking the p!ss!!
i had an enquiry from a friend to rent out my apartment in the may bank holiday/half term week, the 1st week most airlines fly and wizz want ?450!!! (followed closely by BA ?350, Bulgaria Air ?280 and Thomson ?350)
no wonder they must have consdiered cancelling the flight if no one was flying, who'd pay ?450 to bourgas when you can fly to the southern hemisphere for less than that - money grabbing arseho!es.
Bring in ryanair and easyjet and bring on a price war!!
