Is there much to see/do if you don't hire a car?

As I haven't been out yet, I have not been able to answer questions from friends abotu how easy it is to get around and see/do things outside of the Nessebar Fort Club complex if you don't have a car .....

If anyone who's been out there could let me know where you can go/what you can do without a car that would be great

Nessebar FC is very close to the centre and not far from the bus station, travel is very cheap 8pounds to varna (1.30 hours away). Lots of restaurants and shops. Taxis are cheap as long as you use the right ones - all are yellow but the ones without a company name or phone number although tariffed charge up to 3 times the cost of the taxis with name/number on.

Thanks for the tips ... I will advise that its fine not to have a car but watch out for un-named/numbered taxis!
