Just back from a week visiting our apartment in NFC for the first time and thought I'd give a wee bit of feedback to anyone who hasn't been yet.
On the whole the complex is looking good with lots of work going on but it seems to be a good standard. The apartment looks good with only a couple of very minor snags (eg. railings on the terrace missing a bit of painting). The staff in the office were very friendly and helpful too and were happy to deal with things quickly. Special mention to the security staff who were excellent. The shop on site is great - looks small on the outside but has good selection inside and really good value too. For any extras there is a bigger supermarket just over the road called Dili's (or something similar).

We opted not to have the furniture package so our place was empty but looking better after a week there. Be warned that because we didn't buy their furniture there were no lights fitted in our living room or kitchen (bare wires hanging). We had to pay 40 lev for each light - to be fair they did fit it within less than a day.
While out there we bought a couple of free-standing kitchen units from a shop in Nessebar (delivered next day) and FN fitted the tap and plumbed in the sink for a small fee.

The only concern about the complex is the massively busy road it is situated on. The main problem is there is no crossing and you have to cross it to get to anything else in Sunny Beach. The cars come along at kamikaze speeds and there is no pavement to speak of. Anyone going there with small children will have to be extra cautious if going out. Also returning to the complex at night there are no street lights so it is a bit daunting.
The noise from the traffic is not a huge problem when inside as the apartment is well soundproofed but a bit louder when sitting on the terrace.

I'm not sure how much Fort Noks will be able to do about this issue but I am going to contact them and urge other owners to do the same. The noise and view of the road could be masked with a couple of rows of strategically placed trees on the far side of the driveway to the complex. The crossing is a different matter (probably one for the local authority) but I think it's worth bringing to their attention.

thanks for the update, we're going out next month for the first time and also plan to have a look at furnishing when we get out there too....any more tips welcomed...ie best places to go for furniture shops....price/varitey/speed etc

Who at NFC did you need to speak to, to get the light fittings done and taps and plumbing connected

Also pleasing to hear you where happy with the standard of workmanship

There is a Metro on the way in to Bourgas. Sister company is Mackro, cash and carry. has every thing, maybe cheeper than Furniture stores

Hi Hood,

If you take your passport with you to the metro they will supply you with a day pass. One thing, if anyone has young children they have to be at least eight years or older ( or look eight or older) to enter the store, even when accompanied by their parents. I was told this was because of Health and Safety as there are always fork lift trucks operating with in the store.

It was great to read about your visit at NFC i am coming across in may with my daughter to check our apartments as we purchased two in block F1.I have decided to stay in a hotel for the week as am not sure what they will look like inside. I bought NFC furnature pack so am hoping its all in so i can do my wee finnishing off bits for when we come back across in july. I am sure they will be making acrossing for that main road.

Like you we were really pleased with the quality of the finish in our apartment.

It's a good idea to contact fortnoks if you have ordered furniture package from them as they seem to be flat out fitting out apartments across the complex.

We found all the fortnoks staff friendly and keen to help with any problems.

The pools and facilities around the complex look great as well. Does anyone know what restaurants are likely to be open on the complex by the start of July when we're coming back across.

Only real problem is the main road out the front of the complex. Any plans for a crossing point or a dare devil lollipop man.

Looking forward to that drink in the airport Mark, double grapa.

Regarding furniture Helios in New Nessebar and Pomorie is very good also very quick delivery from them. Metro has very limited furniture they do white goods but not always that cheap Technopolis and Technomart can be cheaper.

What does everyone do when they go out looking for furniture,

1.Do you hire a car and drive around yourselves ?
2.Hire a car/driver/interpreter ? (is so any recommendations)
3.Walk around because most furniture shops are in walking distance ?

most shops will deliver. if its a smallish item you could always just get a taxi.
