Fortnoks ruining my guests holiday

Postby ortonio » Tue Jun 17, 2008 11:32 am

Hello Everyone,

I have posted this on the forum as a last resort because I have tried to talk to Fortnoks and they just don't give a damn. They have put a boat right ouside the balcony of our apartment and are renovating it for the fish restaurant. My guests last week will not return again and use my apartment and now my present guests this week are complaining so I will lose any future rental from them also. As they are unable to even sit on the balcony with them working right outside the apartment.

It is hard enough to get rentals and then when you do this is what happens. I have spoken to Antoaneta the Marina View Manager who is just not interested and then I have spoken to Hristo Hristov who is PR and Marketing who has lied to me that the boat has been moved. They have left pieces of timber thrown all over the gardens and had a total lack of respect for the gardens that we pay for with our maintenance. I will upload a picture of this bloody boat on http://www.bulgariasun.net/forum/default.asp as soon as I work out how this evening. Any suggestions on how to get them to move it, greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your problems.
Have just returned from Panorama and do remember seeing an old rowing boat and thinking it was a strange place to put it. No suggestions re what you can do because I cannot think of anywhere else FN could put it. What exactly are they doing it up for?

I have just returned from Marina view and walked past the old boat a couple of times wondering the reason for it. I feel that FortNoks at times have little regard for the owners feelings/ rights. It infuriates me that the small pier on the complex is used by locals as a fishing venue. They park their cars outside the complex and walk around the perimeter to the pier and then take it over it. I have mentioned it to the managers but get little feedback.I hopeyour situation is resolved soon...........good luck.

It has finally been removed after a lot of heated phone calls. But unfortunately the fact remains it has cost me 2 x possible future bookings and annoyed my guests who have paid good money to stay on what we all market as a luxury apartment complex.

Good news that the boat has gone. Could you try asking FN for some form of compensation that you could pass on to the guests that have been affected? Maybe that would ease the situation and I'm sure that if the people affected liked the complex and area, they may then reconsider using your apartment in the future. Good luck

I wondered that too Kay. Certainly nothing there at the moment and I really think it's pushing it to class Marina restaurant as a "fish restaurant" - think there's 4-5 fish dishes on the menu!!
