can anyone give me any info for a bulgarian mortgage,and is it true that the bulgarian banks undervalue the properties

HELLO, MY MORTGAGE IN BULGARIA IS WITH DSK BANK AND I AM HAPPY WITH IT.THE MORTGAGE PROCESS IN BG TAKES AROUND 10-16 WEEKS SO BE PREPARED.THE BANKS DEFINITELY UNDERVALUE BY A FAIR BIT,THIS IS TO COVER THEMSELVES IN THE EVENT THAT YOU DEFAULT AND THEY HAVE TO SELL THE PROPERTY QUICKLY OR TO A BULGARIAN WHO WOULD PAY MUCH LESS THAN US IN THE FIRST PLACE!

Fort Noks have useful information on their web site about the terms for mortgages of different banks in BG. I know that FN can not give you the mortgage but they can help you with the paper work and others. The person in charge in FN is Dimitar.

We took a mortgage out with DSK bank and are pleased with it although it did take a YEAR to arrange!!! we went through Bulgarian Home Loans based in UK. Good luck
