Hi,

As there has been a change over to digital services in Bulgaria, If I buy a new digital tv, will I be able to receive any channels free to air without a subscription the same as in Ireland and England?

Sounds a little like sky tv in England and you dont get that for free ,

In England you get BBC, UTV, Channel 4 + 5, BBC News, Sky News, E4 etc free to air. In Ireland you get RTE 1 + 2, TV 3, RTE news, TG4, E3 free to air. The question was do you get any free to air channels in Bulgaria now that it has changed to digital?

It's possible that some channels could be free but FortNoks will have seen yet another chance to charge owners 3x the odds for a basic service.

I contacted FortNoks, I have an apartment on Marina View and at present have the Analogue tv package with them, my question was " If I buy a flat screen tv with a digital built in tuner is the service cheaper as I don't need a digibox" their answer was the price is the same...what a surprise. 40 Euros to upgrade and 40 Euros for the years subscription, so stitched up again by FortNoks, but never mind the sunbeds are free by the pool in 2012 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
